Job Title: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Isle of Portland. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil with significant needs in the EYFS class, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with significant needs in the EYFS class
  • Assist with personal care, including changing the pupil as required
  • Work alongside other 1:1 Teaching Assistants in the same year group
  • Support the class teacher with extra duties and tasks
  • Deliver supported learning through play and suggestive learning
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
  • Strong experience working with SEN pupils in a Primary setting
  • Safeguarding Level 2 certificate (Teaching Personnel can provide free training)
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to making a positive impact on a pupil's education
