Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Primary School in Portland, Dorset.

This role involves working closely with a pupil in the EYFS class, providing individualized support and care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN pupils in a Primary setting and possess a strong work ethic and drive to make a positive impact on a pupil's education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working 1:1 with an EYFS pupil with significant needs, providing tailored support and care.
  • Assisting with personal care, including changing the pupil as required.
  • Collaborating with other 1:1 Teaching Assistants within the same year group.
  • Supporting the class teacher with additional duties as needed.
  • Delivering supported learning through play and suggestive learning strategies.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (Teaching Personnel can assist with this process).
  • Strong experience working with SEN pupils in a Primary setting.
  • Safeguarding Level 2 certificate (Teaching Personnel offers free training).
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to making a difference in a pupil's education.
