We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welding Engineer to join our team at Growth Hub Business Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing welding procedures and technical instructions to ensure built-in quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate drawings and design requirements into weld requirements and develop methods of qualification in line with relevant codes and standards.
  • Create welding procedures and technical instructions, and review procedures to ensure implementation of Cyber-Weld processes.
  • Recognize the need for continuous improvement through the development of methods, processes, and technologies.
  • Establish equipment requirements, maintenance regimes, and ensure measurement systems are appropriate and analyzed for each process.
  • Perform welding engineering activities to support welder and weld qualifications.
  • Support welding engineering activities, including developing welding processes and qualifying them for production.
  • Maintain work files containing necessary documentation to support and demonstrate compliance with welding engineering codes and quality requirements.
  • Write weld procedures, perform detailed tests, analyze weld quality, and prepare reports necessary for welding production.
  • Review and approve welding-related routers.
  • Oversee welding procedures for in-house manufacturing of products.

Requirements:

  • Experience from an engineering background, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • 5-10 years of welding experience, with some mechanized or robotics experience advantageous.
  • IIW EWE/Welding Diploma, MSc in Welding, or related qualification.
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Welding/Fabrication or equivalent.
  • HND/Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • EngTech, IEng, or CEng status advantageous.
  • EWS Welding Diploma (Specialist level) or similar desirable.
