About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our integrated care team at HMP Full Sutton. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with other professionals to provide high-quality mental health support to individuals in prison and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support individuals with mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Provide low-intensity interventions, psycho-educational interventions, and guided self-help, drawing from CBT theories and techniques.
  • Implement and support a range of evidence-based interventions utilising a self-management model of mental health care.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment.
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a Post-Grad Diploma in Psychological Therapies and experience in offering and delivering the full range of evidence-based IAPT low-intensity interventions at Step 2. You will also have knowledge of assessment procedures, screening, referral, record-keeping, and evidence-based brief psychological interventions.

You will be a confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, and have a good working knowledge of standard IT packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and use of database/information systems. You will also be able to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and be self-reflective in your own personal and professional development.
