We are looking for a skilled Paramedic or Nurse to join our team as a Functional Assessor at Maximus. In this role, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to assess the functional abilities of individuals and determine their eligibility for benefits.

  • You will conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health conditions, using your clinical judgment to understand how their disabilities impact their daily lives.
  • You will produce detailed reports on your findings, which will be used by the DWP to make informed decisions about benefit eligibility.
Job Description

In this role, you will work with a variety of patients, each with unique needs and circumstances. You will use your clinical expertise to assess their functional abilities and provide recommendations for benefit eligibility.

Requirements
  • You must have valid HCPC registration and at least 1 year of post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust.
  • A comfortable level of computer literacy is required, as you will be using software to type and produce detailed reports.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities is essential for this role.
