Key Responsibilities:- Legislative Compliance: Ensure that housing advice and assistance is given to all clients with due regard to housing legislation, including the 1996 Housing Act, Homelessness Act 2002, and Children's Act 1989.
- Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify problems causing potential homelessness and provide tailored solutions, advice, and assistance to facilitate and secure alternative settled accommodation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work proactively with relevant Council departments, Floating Support Providers, Health/Hospital Trust, Private Landlords, Family Support Unit, Probation, and Registered Providers to ensure effective support is identified and implemented.
- Client Support: Provide advice and assistance to clients with complex needs and signpost to relevant services and support.
- Legislative Awareness: Keep up to date with all current housing and benefits legislation to ensure compliance.
- Accommodation Placement: Ensure that families and individuals are placed appropriately in temporary accommodation that fully meets their needs, with move-on plans in place and adherence to legal deadlines.
Umbrella Hourly Rate: £18.40
