Senior Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our catering team at Radley College, a prestigious boarding school in Abingdon. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for students and staff, contributing to both daily service and special events.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional to advance their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. As a Chef de Partie, you will work closely with senior members of the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences, balancing speed, efficiency, and creativity in a high-volume kitchen. With a focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will contribute to the preparation of approximately 2,500 meals per day, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the preparation of high-quality meals for students and staff, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards* Support the delivery of hospitality services for events and functions at the College* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless kitchen operations and efficient food production* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols* Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operational processes
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require: * Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-volume catering environment* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and best practices in hygiene and safety* Creativity and flair for producing high-quality dishes, with the ability to adapt to both large-scale catering and hospitality needs* Excellent time management and organizational skills to thrive in a busy kitchen* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure* Relevant culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) preferred but not essential if supported by strong experience* Flexibility to work a 5/7 shift pattern and reliable transportation due to location
