Job Description

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the site-based engineering activities for allocated projects at Burns & McDonnell. As a Site Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating conformance to contract specifications and delivering projects on time.

You will maintain and interpret site drawings, topographical drawings, construction drawings, rebar drawing, and rebar schedules. Your tasks will include setting out, levelling, and surveying the site, as well as verifying subcontractors' work and ensuring compliance with AFC drawings.

You will be the point of contact for the clerk of works, client, gangers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to assist with the progression of works and carry out inspections as required.

Maintaining records, site diary, quality assurance documentation, reports, and records is also a key responsibility. You will record and report as-built data, offer technical advice on-site to subcontractors and operatives, and ensure all installations adhere to required quality plans.

You will liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project. Your duties will also involve supporting quality control and health and safety matters on-site, understanding Company Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Processes, and implementing statutory requirements.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings and management of drawing systems. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited program, along with 3 years of engineering experience, consulting preferred, is essential. A Master's Degree in Engineering and 2 years of engineering experience, consulting preferred, is also acceptable.

A Full UK driving licence, CSCS for Managers & Professionals, and commercial awareness are required. The ability to empathise, communicate, and influence stakeholders and the Contract Team is crucial.
