Job Title: Site Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our team in McAleer & Rushe Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the on-site management team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects on time, within budget, and with excellent health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Site Manager with daily operations, including supervising and monitoring the supporting engineering team and site labour force.
  • Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Day-to-day management of the site, planning work, and efficiently organising plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Overseeing quality control, implementing health and safety protocols, and preparing reports as required for senior site manager and project manager.
Requirements:
  • A degree/HND in engineering or a relevant discipline, with a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience.
  • Previous experience of setting out £5m+ structures, calling off reinforcement, and reading reinforcement drawings.
  • Operational knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations, excellent communication and planning skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to achieve results, IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD, and flexibility regarding site location within the UK & Ireland.
Compensation:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, with benefits including opportunities for career growth and development within the company.
