We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Merchandising and Brand Strategy to lead our wholesale channel in the EMEA region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a merchandising strategy that supports brand expansion and drives significant sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a merchandising strategy for the wholesale channel that aligns with our brand expansion goals.
- Partner closely with the VP, EMEA – Global Brands to develop a cohesive regional strategy and drive sales growth.
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between merchandise plans and supply chain capabilities, financial plans, marketing investments, and merchandising strategies.
- Maximize financial success of the wholesale channel by hitting sales and gross margin plans.
- Analyze sales trends, global market trends, and customer data to inform strategic planning and merchandising decisions.
- Closely track fashion trends and market shifts to build optimal product assortments.
- Develop and retain talent by frequently communicating with team members about career path, growth opportunities, and providing constructive feedback.
- Work closely with O+O buying/planning directors and 3P Planning director to ensure the 3rd party assortment is selective, SKU productive, and focused on the accounts' requests to deliver growth.
- Collaborate with Accounts Director to build and execute an appropriate channel strategy.
- Using your team, manage change communication and chase opportunities with the Accounts Director to help manage account expectations and maximize sales.
- Travel across the region to stay connected with our partners and have a pulse on the market.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in merchandise planning or a related field, with a desire to execute strategies.
- Long-term strategic thinking skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI experience, as well as retail math and financial analysis.
- Excellent statistical/quantitative analysis skills.
- Strong financial storytelling ability and a desire to speak to larger audiences.
- Experience working in an iconic, branded environment for an international organization.
