We are seeking a skilled Laundry Operative/Driver to join our team at Sasse Limited. As a Laundry Operative/Driver, you will be responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, and delivering client laundry in accordance with our schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Sort laundry items according to material, colour, and wash requirements to avoid damage and optimise service.
- Use our digital system to record and report on laundry servicing for our customers.
- Accurately document laundry items to ensure correct billing for the laundered goods.
- Wash, dry, press, or iron laundry items using our laundry room equipment and products.
- Inspect laundry before washing for stains to be removed or noticeable damage or wear and tear to be noted.
- Inspect returning items as bagged to ensure quality control is maintained.
- Bag clean dry laundry correctly to ensure returned to the correct client.
- Keep clear records of laundry processed, quantities, damage or noted issues reported via our digital service app for each client.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room.
- Regularly check stock level of all products used such as machine detergents, update and request stock to maintain a continuous service.
- Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner and communicate these to your Department Team Leader, Manager or Supervisor.
- Collect and deliver laundry for servicing or return using a company provided vehicle.
- Work independently according to specification.
- Experience in laundry services or cleaning is welcomed, training will be provided.
- The role requires a Full UK car driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
- The employee shall hold no more than 3 penalty points.
- Experience of driving large vans/vehicles is preferable.
