About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Capacity Act Specialist to join our team based in Bournemouth. The ideal candidate will have experience in safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safeguarding and ensuring the well-being of vulnerable adults
  2. Pursuing court cases on behalf of service users
  3. Evaluating care needs and developing comprehensive support plans
  4. Applying principles of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Best Interests (BI) procedures
  5. Negotiating Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding and joint applications with other stakeholders
  6. Presenting funding requests to secure necessary resources
  7. Collaborating effectively with colleagues and managers to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  1. Registration with the Social Work England (SWE) register
  2. Eligibility to work within the UK
  3. A valid driver's license and access to a car for professional travel
  4. A minimum of post-qualified experience in social work
  5. A degree-level qualification or equivalent in Social Work

Salary: £38,890 - £43,857 per annum
