About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Gateway Recovery Centre in Warrington. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the services facilities are well-maintained and safe for service users, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose and meet the needs of service users.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance to identify and repair any faults.
  • Liaise with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support contractors while on site and complete all paperwork and tool checks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Compliance with systems and procedures.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable.

About the Team

You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility providing care for men and women with complex mental health requirements.

The hospital is split into four distinct areas:

  • Male Autism Service for adults with Autism and Asperger's syndrome.
  • Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties.
  • Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex mental health and physical health needs.
  • Low secure care setting for men with a mental illness with or without personality disorder/mild LD.
