Job Title: Religious Education Teacher

About the Role:

The Wayman Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) teacher to join their team of talented staff in Salisbury. The successful candidate will possess a passion for teaching RE and the ability to motivate young people, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To teach Religious Education to students across all ages, from GCSE to A-Level, and develop a curriculum that is exciting and knowledge-based.
  2. To contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and ensure that teaching practices are research-informed and support student learning.
  3. To maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment, and to provide feedback to students that is constructive and supportive.
  4. To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Religious Education and a PGCE or QTS qualification. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality education and a passion for teaching RE are essential for this role.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this Religious Education Teacher position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract, in line with the MPS/UPS.
