Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and compassionate individual to join our CQC Outstanding Home Instead team as a Dementia Companion. As a Dementia Companion, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our clients with dementia, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients and their families. You will be responsible for providing personalized care and support, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to clients with dementia
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Manage medication and provide support with medication administration
  • Engage in social interaction and provide emotional support to clients
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure high-quality care and support

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in care and support work, preferably with individuals with dementia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
