Rail Infrastructure Development Manager

To be considered for this role, you will come from a Civil Engineering, Rail, or Construction industry background, which is mandatory.
Business Development and Client RelationshipsTake an active role in business development, identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, developing growth strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve business goals.
Tender Stage Design Development and ProposalsManage the development and implementation of tender stage design development, proposals, and deliverables ensuring they meet customer requirements including budget and time constraints.
Research and WritingResearch and write supporting information for use in proposals, including case studies, CVs, project best practices, and project innovations.
Collaboration and FeedbackCoordinate input from others, such as Graphics, H&S, and Commercial, to achieve a successful outcome in the bid process.
Market Analysis and Refining the Bidding ProcessAnalyse feedback and market trends to refine the bidding process, investing in research and training to enhance the quality of future submissions and to stay current with industry developments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a bid team or similar technical team, specifically related to the Civil Engineering, Rail, or Construction industry is mandatory.
- An excellent standard of written English.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of providing technical output, management, or advice.
- Knowledge and experience of the techniques and methods of proposal writing, and the requirements for quality presentations and customer-focused communication.
- A thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with planning software such as P6 or Asta would be desirable.
