Zest4Talent is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in the office interior design and furniture industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, with experience in selling office equipment, office design, or interior commercial design solutions. They will be responsible for generating new business in the FM, Education, Managed office, and Commercial Estate sectors, as well as working with a small sales team to achieve strategic objectives and plans for growth.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  1. Using CRM to call lapsed customers to ascertain their future office design or office furniture requirements.
  2. Generating new business in the FM, Education, Managed office, and Commercial Estate sectors by means of cold calling, referral, area mapping, and research.
  3. Working within a small sales team of 3 to ensure the company achieves their strategic objectives and plans for growth.
  4. Arranging face-to-face design visits to sell bespoke office design solutions.
  5. Selling a comprehensive range of office furniture to clients.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Previous sales success, with a proven track record of generating new business and growing existing business.
  2. Experience selling office equipment, office design, or interior commercial design solutions.
  3. Proven success selling to Facilities Management, Education, Managed office services, or Commercial agents.
  4. The ability to conduct site visits and detail clients' requirements and communicate to the design team.
  5. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills to see projects through to completion.
  6. Building regulations and potentially health and safety knowledge is beneficial but non-essential.
