Job Title: Property Stores Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Stores Assistant to join our team at Gwent Police. As a Property Stores Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure storage of evidential property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit and manage evidential property to ensure it is retained or disposed of in accordance with force policy and legislation.
  • Collate items for central disposal, sale via eBay or Wilson's Auction, and return to owners.
  • Highlight exhibits incorrectly packaged and report incidents, accidents, and faults to the Property Project Co-ordinator.
  • Comply with force operating procedures for equipment operation and report any issues to the Property Project Co-ordinator.
  • Highlight instances of risk from hazardous materials that may cause fire or contamination to store property.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five grade A-C GCSEs or equivalent minimum standards.
  • Previous experience working in a secure stores environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel independently to given locations within and outside the force area.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to drive force vehicles.
