At Solidus Company, we are seeking a skilled Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods through our network of haulage partners. Your strong analytical skills and experience in traffic planning will enable you to support the planning performed by our vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely booking of transport requirements with haulage partners.
  • Raising purchase orders associated with haulage activities.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for transport-related inquiries and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Effective management of inbound and outbound loading schedules to optimize resource utilization.
  • Managing customs clearance processes.
  • Collaborating with the Warehouse & Distribution team to maintain excellent internal communication around shipping and inbound requirements.
  • Daily cross-functional liaison with colleagues across the business on transport matters.
  • Updating CRM systems after each vendor contact.
  • Providing assistance to the Warehouse team in managing stock levels.
  • Assisting in POD management as required.
  • Participating in meetings as necessary.
  • Achieving set KPIs for the department and individual.
  • Maintaining up-to-date customs clearance documents and filing as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transport management.
  • Familiarity with customs clearance procedures.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving.
  • A team player willing to assist with various tasks.
  • Adaptability in managing work within specific deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Experience within the packaging industry.
  • Knowledge of Sage 200.
