About the Role:

The successful candidate will assist the company in driving forward their Environmental Sustainability agenda, ensuring that data is of the highest quality in terms of accuracy and timeliness. They will develop systems to foster trust in environmental sustainability data and work with colleagues to understand how relevant data is sourced and applied.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, uphold, and advocate for the company's environmental policy, strategies, and other plans, emphasizing compliance with all legislation related to Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
  • Assist in sustaining external accreditations, focusing significantly on reviewing documents and conducting internal audits for the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and contributing to the advancement of the ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS).
  • Lead the establishment and upkeep of a comprehensive data collection, monitoring, and reporting system for all environmental sustainability initiatives, with a strong emphasis on EEE and WEEE compliance.
  • Participate in Compliance, ESG meetings, and other departmental meetings critical to environmental sustainability, ensuring a robust alignment with EEE and WEEE regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the company to initiate and execute environmental sustainability engagement activities for key stakeholders, with a focus on EEE and WEEE regulations.
  • Maintain deep expertise in EEE and WEEE regulations and ensure current Environmental Waste licenses and Exemptions are up-to-date and compliant with EEE and WEEE legislation.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working in sustainability matters, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders and prior experience in an international environment is an asset.
What We Offer:

This role offers the opportunity to gain and develop experience across a variety of disciplines, while making a tangible contribution to the company's net zero carbon target. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will be based in Waltham Abbey.

The position is a fixed-term one-year contract with a salary of £35,000-£40,000 negotiable depending on experience. The working hours are 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm ONSITE.
