Plant Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional to join our team as a Plant Maintenance Manager. This is a permanent position based in the Somerset / Wiltshire border area.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Lead a small team of fitters and work with contractors to ensure the plant operates efficiently.
- Develop and implement proactive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with H&S and legal regulations.
- Manage budgetary responsibilities and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the team to provide 24/7 coverage and ensure seamless operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a heavy plant or quarry environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors and stakeholders.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
We offer a competitive salary of £48,000 - £53,000, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career progression and professional development. You will also receive a generous pension scheme, holiday allowances, and a bonus scheme that pays roughly 2% of salary on an annual basis.
