About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cook to lead our catering operations at our Mill Lane site in Beverley. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and service of food daily, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the catering provision for meals provided to those attending Millers Day service, Town View Respite service, and the residents of New House Residential service.
  • Manage a kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our service users.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience of catering and working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Desirable: catering qualification, such as NVQ level 2, and a minimum of a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
  • Good knowledge of allergen legislation and Government's Food Standards.
  • Ability to work to a high standard, possess supervisory skills, and be approachable, enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to providing and developing the school's meal service further.
