We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Practitioner to join our team at Pure Insight, supporting young people leaving care in Stockport and Salford. As a key member of our team, you will provide wraparound support to young parents and their children, empowering them to take control of their lives and develop a sense of belonging in their community.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum

Job Description:

The role of the Family Support Practitioner is multifaceted, involving close collaboration with the Parent Coordinator and local volunteers. Your primary focus will be on providing 75% of your time supporting young parents and their children, while dedicating 25% to planning activities that promote family well-being and parenting skills.

As a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, you will develop a schedule that meets the diverse needs of the families you support. With sole use of a vehicle for work, you will travel between Stockport and Salford (2 days each) to provide this service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to young parents and their children, promoting emotional stability and well-being.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve family relationships and parenting skills.
  • Collaborate closely with the Parent Coordinator and local volunteers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
