As Director of Special Education, you will lead the development of our school's curriculum and instructional programs, ensuring that every student receives personalized support to thrive.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for leading a team of educators and support staff, collaborating with parents and carers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.

Jurisdiction and Salary:

This is a competitive opportunity for a senior educational leader, with a salary of up to £80,000 per annum. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including life assurance, pension schemes, and diverse health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Educational Leadership: Lead the development of educational programs and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. SEN Expertise: Provide expert advice and guidance on SEN matters, supporting teachers and staff in delivering high-quality instruction.
  3. New School Set-Up: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a thriving educational community, driving innovation and excellence in teaching practices.
  4. Hands-On Approach: Engage with students, parents, and staff to ensure collective growth, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Headteacher Experience: Proven experience as a Headteacher, with a strong track record in educational leadership and student achievement.
  2. SEN Focus: Strong background in dealing with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism, and associated learning needs.
  3. Independent School Understanding: Familiarity with the dynamics of independent schools, with a proven ability to navigate complex administrative tasks.
