About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant at TimePlan Education, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with classroom teachers to develop individualised education plans (IEPs), providing targeted support to students and contributing to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum.
  2. Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement IEPs and adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  3. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  4. Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals.
  5. Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Relevant qualification in Education, Teaching Assistance, or a related field.
  2. Experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
  3. Understanding of various special educational needs and the ability to tailor support accordingly.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  5. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN.

Estimated Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience.
