**Job Title:** SEN Teaching Assistant

**Job Description:** We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team at Supply Desk. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide individualized support to students with SEN.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students, including those with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and other needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
  • Assist in creating educational materials and resources to support student learning.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful atmosphere.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of student progress.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working with children with additional needs (SEMH, ASC, ADHD, etc.) is essential.
  • DBS on the update service.
  • A keen interest in supporting students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Ability to deliver small-group interventions in subjects like Reading, Maths, and Literacy.
  • Understanding of each student's unique needs and providing tailored support.
  • Ensure students have full access to lessons by offering necessary adjustments.
  • Help students develop effective study and organizational skills.
  • Support students in maintaining focus and motivation.
  • Address behavioral and emotional needs in line with classroom policies.
  • Implement individualized learning programs.

**Qualifications:**

  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not required.
