Job Title: Data Editor

Join our team as a Data Editor and take on a challenging role that requires a unique blend of editorial and analytical skills. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for commissioning and editing critical news stories and features that shape the global conversation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission stories that showcase the FT's distinct edge and provide readers with a deeper understanding of global events.
  • Edit a wide range of stories swiftly and accurately, from short news pieces to in-depth features.
  • Work closely with correspondents to develop compelling storylines and ensure our coverage is presented in the most engaging way possible.
  • Spearhead digital storytelling projects and be ready to publish/produce across multiple platforms.
  • Present the day's top global stories at newsroom meetings and contribute to the development of our editorial strategy.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced editor with a passion for global news and a keen eye for detail. As a Data Editor, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of stories and develop your skills in commissioning, editing, and storytelling.
