About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Healthcare of Older People. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality specialist clinical pharmacy service, with a strong emphasis on supporting the development of leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Participate in core directorate activities, including reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement training programs, and contribute to the training of new doctors.
  • Supervise less experienced members of the team, including junior pharmacists and trainee pharmacists.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient care and influence the best use of medicines.

Requirements
  • Vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification (completed or near completion)
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Post-registration work experience as a pharmacist in hospital pharmacy, covering a range of specialties
  • Previous participation in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Commitment to own Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
