About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team at the Queen Elizabeth site as a Senior Support Pharmacist.

The successful applicant will become part of a large clinical pharmacy team, working closely with the Specialist Pharmacist for Surgery, medical practitioners, and nursing team members.

Through managing and supporting band 6 pharmacists and clinical pharmacy technicians, you will work to support and improve patient stay in hospital while retaining direct patient contact.

You will need an ability to develop effective working relationships, to challenge, and to prioritise your own work as well as the work of the team.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver a service in accordance with the priorities set by the Chief Pharmacist and the Trust agreed standards, including:

  • Appropriately managing difficult and ambiguous problems
  • Making decisions with limited information
  • Demonstrating an advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement
  • Demonstrating an intuitive grasp of situations
  • Ensuring the clinical services provided are of a high standard and that all prescribed medication is clinically screened in a timely manner
