About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented pharmacist to take their career to the next level and become a leader in clinical pharmacy practice.

Salary Information

Job Summary

This role will enable you to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide expert advice and support, improving patient outcomes and contributing to the delivery of excellent care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to patients, including medication therapy management and patient education.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and protocols.
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of new services and projects, using your expertise to drive innovation and improvement.
  4. Mentor and supervise junior pharmacists, supporting their development and growth within the team.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in clinical pharmacy, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need: A vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent). Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Completion of a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification or equivalent advanced practice. Willingness to work towards a non-medical prescribing qualification.
