About the Role

At Colas Rail UK, we are seeking a skilled and experienced OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator to join our team. As an OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator, you will be responsible for driving, operating, repairing, and maintaining on-track machines in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate on-track machines in accordance with the Competency Based Standards for Operator Driver Fitter Maintainers.
  • Repair and maintain on-track machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Colas Railway Safety Case.
  • Liaise with the maintenance department to report any faults or issues with on-track machines.
  • Act as a liaison with on-site customers to ensure their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and able to work weekends and bank holidays.
  • Pass medical tests.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and sense of professional pride.
  • Able to perform shift duties.
  • Mechanically minded with NVQ level 3.
  • Team worker.
  • In possession of a clean road vehicle driving license.
  • Willing to continue learning and be trained.
