Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled and motivated Railway Operator Driver Fitter to join our team in Anglia. As a key member of our on-track machine operation team, you will be responsible for driving, operating, repairing, and maintaining our on-track machines in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate on-track machines in accordance with the Competency Based Standards for Operator Driver Fitter Maintainers and the Colas Railway Safety Case.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on on-track machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to identify and resolve machine faults and issues.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and administrative duties are fulfilled, including reporting incidents and near misses.
- Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible, honest, and punctual with a positive attitude and sense of professional pride.
- Pass medical tests and maintain a clean road vehicle driving license.
- Mechanically minded with NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Able to perform weekend and bank holiday duties, as well as shift work.
