Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Streamline Search. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information, analysis, and advice to support the management team in decision-making. This role involves preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor performance against them.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual results and budgeted figures.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports for senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • Work closely with other members of the finance team and other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and internal policies.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management on business decisions, investments, and cost control measures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Management Accountant role.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: 40,000 - 42,000 (Dependent on experience & qualifications)
