About Our School

Churchill Special Free School is a unique educational environment catering to the needs of 70 pupils aged 8-18, working at age-related expectations or below. Our students have language and communication difficulties and high-functioning autism.

Our Commitment

We believe every learner has a unique personality and talents to be developed. Our learners access a GCSE curriculum from year 9 onwards, with class sizes consisting of 11 or 12 pupils and two teaching professionals. We strive for high expectations in both behaviour and achievement.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This role requires someone who is solutions-driven, organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting SEND pupils and promoting reading for pleasure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the teaching staff in creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist pupils with their daily tasks and provide one-to-one support when needed.
  • Contribute to lesson planning and implementation.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £20,919 - £21,586 per annum (Grade 3 points 4-6), reflecting our commitment to fair compensation for exceptional professionals like you. Additionally, we provide opportunities for part-time or job-share arrangements, enabling you to balance your work and personal life.
