Youth Development Support Professional

Job Summary:
As a dedicated member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people in residential care. Your primary responsibility will be to promote positive development and support their emotional and social well-being.
- You will work closely with the team to ensure the overall well-being and happiness of the young people in our care.
- In collaboration with colleagues, you will provide emotional and social support, helping them develop meaningful relationships and become involved with local communities.
- Your expertise will be invaluable in encouraging and enabling each young person's self-esteem to be raised in a positive manner.
- You will support and enable each young person to make positive life choices and achieve levels of independence.
- An essential aspect of your role will be high-level recording of events and observations.
- You will continually assess the children and young people's needs and formulate, implement, and review care plans.
- Closely working with managers, team members, and other professionals is crucial in providing comprehensive care.
- You will also be responsible for carrying out domestic duties, involving the children and young people where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will engage with young people in a positive and proactive approach, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- You must be self-motivated with a positive nature and sensitive and reflective, ensuring a calming presence among the children and young people.
- The ability to listen and empathise is essential in building trust and rapport with our residents.
- You will be able to work individually and within a team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
- Holding a relevant qualification or being committed to undertaking a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare is highly desirable.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in the care sector or residential care is highly valued.
- We are looking for passionate and caring individuals who are willing to work some Bank Holidays, sharing our commitment to providing exceptional care.
