Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5t Night Driver to transport and deliver our premium food products to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. The successful candidate will ensure that deliveries are made safely, complying with all relevant transport regulations and maintaining our high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Driving: Operate a 7.5-ton vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all road and traffic laws.
- Timely Deliveries: Ensure all deliveries are made on time, maintaining the schedule set by the Transport Manager.
- Load and Unload: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, providing excellent service at all times.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary delivery paperwork accurately and submit it as required.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Age Requirement: Must be over the age of 25.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience holding a valid driving license for a 7.5-ton vehicle.
- License: Must have a clean and valid UK driving license.
- CPC Certification: Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is required.
- Health and Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to driving and food transport.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
