Job Title: Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer to join our team at The Peninsula London. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring the comfort and safety of our guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to mechanical and plumbing systems, including HVAC, water supply, and drainage systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of our facilities, including housekeeping, engineering, and maintenance teams.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of our systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure our facilities remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end commercial environment.
  • Trade certification or NVQ level in Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing Systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues and guests at all levels.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency.
