Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer (with Plumbing Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with plumbing expertise to join our team at Hitachi Rail's Bounds Green Depot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance and reactive repairs on commercial plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Handle pipework modifications and installations.
  • Provide a high standard of service to the client, responding to queries, reporting defects, and keeping them informed of ongoing site activities.
  • Accurately complete work-related documentation, maintaining inspection logs and reports of remedial work.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, including Permit to Work procedures and safe working systems.
Requirements:
  • NVQ qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or similar.
  • Ability to work independently, with a good understanding of building statutory compliance and a working knowledge of APOC L8 water management.
  • Familiarity with maintenance or facilities management environments.
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings and using a PDA to manage workflows.

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000

Location: Hitachi Rail Bounds Green Depot

Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (7am-5pm / 1pm-11pm)
