About the Role

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Psychological Medicine Service. This is a fixed-term maternity cover post based at Cambridge University Hospital, with a regional remit covering Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for clients with spinal cord injuries
  • Develop and implement psychological formulations that integrate information from assessments within a coherent framework
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care and service provision
  • Exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service

Requirements

  • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Substantial experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment across various care settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, families, and other professionals
