About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cleaning Operative to join our team at EMCOR UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure agreed standards and prioritize workload accordingly.
  • Report any repairs or maintenance issues noticed during cleaning duties.
  • Respond promptly to service shortfalls and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct daily maintenance on machinery and report any issues.
  • Perform additional or special cleans as instructed.
  • Ensure adequate stocks of consumables are available and request replenishments as needed.
  • Attend and complete training as required.
  • Use chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Liaise with customers and clients in a professional manner.
  • Work safely and report any health and safety risks or hazards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and storage areas.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with:

Previous experience in workplace cleaning (advantageous).Good timekeeping and attendance.Excellent customer service skills.A methodical and meticulous approach to work.Ability to read and speak English to ensure safe working practices.
