About the Role

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Phlebotomist to join our team as a Senior Phlebotomy Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative organization that is committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the phlebotomy team in providing a domiciliary service, supervising the weekend phlebotomy service, and training staff on venepuncture skills.
  • Support the day-to-day line management of band 3 phlebotomists.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical phlebotomy leads to ensure the smooth operation of the phlebotomy service.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Accredited qualification in venepuncture.
  • Basic first aid qualification.
  • Experience of supervising and training junior staff.
  • Experience of phlebotomy, including domiciliary experience.
