About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ecologist to join our team as a Protected Species Specialist. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice to clients on protected species licensing and mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies for protected species
  • Conduct surveys and assessments to identify protected species and their habitats
  • Provide expert advice on protected species licensing and compliance
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop and implement ecological solutions
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and partnerships

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification in Ecology or a related field
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) or a similar organization
  • Specialist knowledge of protected species, including bats and great crested newts
  • Experience of working with protected species licensing and mitigation
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
