Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to join our team at Grundon. As a key member of our depot operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Depot Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of waste collection services at our Colnbrook depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise an experienced transport office team and around 70 drivers to ensure that customers receive their waste collection service when they expect it.
  • Connect with the transport team and customers to quickly establish yourself and build good working relationships.
  • Help to supervise the day-to-day running of waste collection services, including managing routes and schedules.

Requirements

  • At least two years' supervisory or managerial experience, preferably in the waste industry.
  • A customer-focused approach, organisational skills, and the ability to build good working relationships.
  • A Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and full clean UK driving licence, ideally with LGV Class 2 (cat C) entitlement.
