We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable client secondary school in Old Trafford.

Job Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This position involves working closely with the class teacher to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism, supporting students with social interactions and communication skills development, and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
∙ Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement IEPs for students with autism.
∙ Provide one-on-one support to students with autism in the classroom setting.
∙ Support students with social interactions and communication skills development.
∙ Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
∙ Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with autism.

Requirements:
∙ Previous experience working with individuals with autism is preferred.
∙ Knowledge of strategies and interventions for supporting students with autism.
∙ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∙ Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with diverse needs.
∙ Relevant qualifications or training in special education or autism support is desirable.
