We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Liaison Mental Health services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care to individuals presenting with mental health problems in the acute hospital and A&E settings.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake timely mental health assessments with service users presenting with mental health problems to the accident and emergency department and within the general hospital.
- Assess, manage, and care plan for individuals with mental health needs, ensuring that their needs are met and risks are identified and managed.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive person-centered care and support.
- Coordinate and prioritize the day-to-day clinical workload relating to referrals received by the liaison nurse team.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality mental health care.
- Established knowledgebase and range of experiences in mental health care.
- Ability to work as part of a 24-hour mental health liaison nurse team.
