Postdoctoral Research Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team working on the AWAKE beamlines at the University of Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research in electron-beam tracking studies with space charge effects and imperfections.
  • Design and develop the new AWAKE electron injection region.
  • Specify new equipment for the modified injection beamline.
  • Coordinate the production, installation, and commissioning of the modified beamline.
  • Lead the publication and presentation of research results.
Requirements:
  • PhD in accelerator physics, particle physics, or a closely-related discipline.
  • Proven track record of high-quality research.
  • Ability to identify research objectives and execute activities to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and motivation skills.
  • Previous experience in experimental particle accelerator physics and particle beamlines is an advantage.
