Job Summary:

Ford & Slater Limited is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team as a Nightshift Vehicle Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of trucks and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of trucks and vehicles, including safety inspections and fault diagnostics.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address any mechanical issues, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies, minimizing downtime and maximizing vehicle availability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our maintenance processes and vehicle performance.
  • Work closely with our drivers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination, ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained and ready for operation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Qualifications in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, such as a Level 3 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and fault diagnostic skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
