Supporting SEN Students in a Secondary School Setting

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the classroom teacher in supporting students with SEN, including those with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting teaching materials to meet their needs
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being
- Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement effective support plans
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
