Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Calibration Lead to oversee the calibration and repair activity in our laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily work schedule, preparing technical quotes, and handling client inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in dimensional calibration at UKAS signatory level and experience with special products calibration. They will also possess excellent communication and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee calibration and repair activity in the laboratory
  • Manage daily work schedule and prepare technical quotes
  • Handle client inquiries and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in external and internal audits and ensure compliance with quality systems

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Calibration Manager or similar role
  • UKAS signatory experience and knowledge of quality systems
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create uncertainty budgets
