A client within the public sector is recruiting for a Mechanical Project Supervisor to manage their building and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a local authority environment and provide technical specialist advice in Mechanical Building Services Engineering.

The Role

Key Purpose: The successful candidate will ensure that all works are carried out in an efficient manner, providing technical specialist advice in Mechanical Building Services Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a key advisor to the Corporate Landlord on compliance of the Corporate Estate, in accordance with ISO 55000 International Standards for Asset Management.
  2. Be the Council's technical specialist for mechanical engineering, overseeing compliance, servicing, and projects.
  3. Provide a lead role in the programme planning, resource planning, budget planning, quality of service, and value for money of the section's projects. Take a lead role in budget forecasting and monitoring.
  4. Ensure all property and construction work carried out by the Council complies with relevant statutory legislation, codes of practice, and professional guidance documents.
  5. Take a lead role in the preparation of the Council's property and construction Frameworks and contracts.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require to be degree qualified or equivalent in control or mechanical engineering or to have completed a foundation degree, BTEC HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or a related engineering subject.

Essential Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience and considerable relevant practice experience in the design, installation, and management of Mechanical building services. They will also have experience of specifying and managing building electrical and mechanical works for a range of term and main contractors.
